Galatians 1:11-14 1: “Where dose the gospel come from?” (Who teaches it). (Jesus).
False Gospel of zeal 1: just believe something and live it out with zeal, we all get to the same place the same God, False). 2. False gospel is tradistions is the gospel.
The Gospel I preached to you is not man’s gospel, it is not (human – more alien/in the none since fiction kind). (I did not make it up). (I did not even believe it until Jesus, came and explained it to me)
Like Paul was saying I am not trying to pleas people, I did not make up the gospel that I preached to you,
I was trying to violently destroy the church of God.
Paul writes he was not taught this gospel by men that had something to gain form from Paul changing and believing the gospel. No instead, Jesus Christ Acts 9, came to Paul, and revealed the gospel to Paul, Jesus made him blind, that in turn he might see. Jesus came and asked why Paul was persecuting him? Paul, went blind, led away to Damascus. After 3 days of prayer and fasting, Ananias prayed for Paul, and he received his sight, Jesus had revealed to Ananias that Paul would suffer much for His name’s sake and would. Jesus came to Paul, and changed him showed him the gospel.
I am serving Christ, therefor I did not make up this gospel, it is not made by man, it is given by Jesus Christ, - and has the same origin as the disciples had, it is the same gospel, that Jesus was preaching, and that was more clearly understood as the Holy Spirt was given at Pentecost.
Paul is making it clear that he is not serving people or trying to please people that have influced him, or taught him, the gospel but that. This is not Paul’s Gospel or his teachers, it is Jesus Christ gospel, and Jesus is the one that reveals it to people. (Just like we did to the Galatians, that heard and believed).
Paul is contrasting this with his story in Judismen as he writes, how he was so extremely zealous for the tractions of his people, he was advancing past many even older that he, as he violently persecuted the church of God, trying to destroy it. (So Paul is no longer trying to live by some tradtions, advance in status, that is what he had done before). Now instead it is following Jesus, pleasing him, sharing what Jesus had done, how sin could not be washed away by traditions, and good works, but only by Jesus Christ, blood, and freedom only given as Jesus won over, death, sin, Satan, and covered wrath, in his life, death, resurrections, and his return, that gives great hope – that we will be with Jesus.
I think to false gospels are exposed here:
Traditions, as gospel. As Paul was explaining, whatever traditions and rules that are made up by men and for men, can’t save and can’t be the gospel, (Some good traditions might point to Jesus’ gospel).
What about you do you know of traditions that are views as a gospel? What about in your country, what about in you home and family. (A kind of works – if you do this, then…)
In Denmark many people are viewed as Christians, - that is a tradition, if we ask people how they live it, does not seem like they are followers of Jesus Christ. (It is a false gospel that you are a Christian because you were born in Denmark, - or other places, our birth place dose not determine if we believe in the good news of Jesus Christ).
You are only a Christian if you do this, wear that, - no that is not the gospel, any man-made rule, is not the gospel of Jesus Christ that Paul is trying to explain.
Instead again Paul wants to show that Jesus was the one that revealed the gospel to him. (Is that not problematic? At first sight yes, but we can look at what Paul teaches at see that it is the same as; what Peter, Jesus and the others are teaching the same gospel of Jesus Christ). And reflecting more, we all have to have Jesus Christ come at reveal his gospel to us, or we will not understand or believe. Paul, me and us, can’t make others believe God needs to move and do that. Make the blind might see, hearts of stone might melt, it is out of our reach, only by the power of God can people see the Gospel off Jesus Christ. We explain, we teach, but God, needs to light the fire, open people’s eyes. Or people might be living a life of religion and tradition, I do what the people in the church say, and I am good, God will like me, I am saved. No, the good news, is repented from sin to Jesus, trusting in Him, loving and serving him by the holy Spirt to the Glory of God. (Traditions not matter how good can’t save and are not the gospel.).
Another false gospel we can see in Paul’s story: If people are sincere enough that is the gospel and will bring salvation, that just have to seek it enough. Zealous as gospel. Sometimes also used it the metaphor of all people are climbing a mountain we all get to the top salvation, if we just mean it enough. Also comes with a view that all people are good, therefore they deserve salvation, if they just want it enough. I am not sure why this gospel seems to keep popping up, because if we take a look at all the people that were very sincere, many were and are not very good examples.
(Political parties, slightly different because the know they most of the time need other parties).
Sports fans, Green people, LBTQ+ very passionate, Black lives matter, deconstructionists, racialists left and right, racists groups, traditionalists, I am what I feel/so if you disagree/ you are evil and violent, that would mean that all people in the world that does not agree with you are evil not only evil vilonte agaist you, so you respond with violence, slander against people that have done nothing other that what you do - often the passion leads to hate towards people that don’t share their belief. None of this will lead to salvation, - to the gospel of Jesus Christ. What does God do, sends Jesus Christ, what does Jesus and Paul say we should do our enemies. Pray for them bless them… that is a very different understaning that the groups have that I mentioned above.
All religious people that are sincere, -funtamtalistic, Are we killing or getting killed?
Summing up:
The gospel rightly understood is Jesus Christ coming to each person teaching who He is and what he has done, - Not people, rules, man made traditions, God invading the world our life, opening our minds to his Good news, that we might live in the gospel of Jesus Christ, to Gods glory and by the power of the Holy Spirt. Reject the false, point people towards Jesus, pray God will move and show more people who Jesus is and his gospel so people can be set free from all the false gospels.
